Background and Objective: Congenital heart defects (CHD) represent the most frequent human birth defects, occurring in almost 1% of all live newborns. Understanding effects gender prevalence CHD has a key role defining personalized prevention, disease identification, prognosis definition individualized therapeutic strategies. Recently, attempt to achieve holistic approach patients with cannot be separated from accounting for existing differences. The main aim this narrative review is provide an overview differences epidemiology CHD.
